Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how App Lock ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal data.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Lock Credentials: PIN codes, pattern lock data, and fingerprint authentication preferences you set up within the app. These are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
- App Lock Preferences: Your selection of which applications to lock and your configuration settings.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Statistics Access: The app requires access to Usage Statistics (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS) to detect which application is currently in the foreground. This data is processed locally on your device and is not collected or stored by us.
- Installed Applications: The app reads your list of installed applications to display them for locking. This information remains on your device.
- Camera Access: If enabled, the app may capture a photo when an incorrect unlock attempt is made (intruder selfie feature). These photos are stored locally on your device only.
- Device Information: Basic device information may be collected for analytics and crash reporting purposes, including device model, operating system version, and app version.
- Location Data: The app may request access to location data for Bluetooth connectivity features. Location data is not stored or transmitted to external servers.
